DEAR FAITHFUL CREW LIVING REAL LIFE,
What a blessing it has been to me this Fall to listen to you
wrestle with questions not only of life but of faith. I have heard a movement
toward thinking through and speaking what you think, but also seeking after Christ at work in your words in our discussion. Topics like the
words we use and sin and the way we handle stress, and commitment could end up
with a response from us that simply says:
“Well, that depends on the situation.”
But we discover from the very beginning of God’s story,
continued through the teaching and life of Christ, and realized in the
consequences of our own lives, that Truth is real, and some things we can truly
know because Christ leads us as we go. My goal is that each one of us (myself
included, because it is really hard) would come to a point of being able to say
in all situations:
“Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let
them bring me to your holy mountain.” (Psalm 43:3).
I will pray for you in your homes, schools, music, sports,
and free time. May this week be filled with leading from our Lord Jesus Christ,
and a striving to follow and receiving of his amazing grace wherever we fall
short of what we know He has called to.
Blessings my friends. Continue to seek after truth and after
Christ who is THE Truth.
